Get Well Soon Dagrin

Exclusive Pictures of Dagrin in Hospital

Source : thenetng
As we reportedly exclusively earlier, Dagrin is still at  the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, where Doctors are working hard to stabilise his condition after a nasty crash that left him comatose, yesterday.
We have now obtained pictures of Dagrin, lying in hospital, as well as those of his badly-damaged car…
Here’s what happened exactly, according to our reporter who visited LUTH today
He went to his father’s place at Meiran on Tuesday and left 7pm the
same day for his fried’s place. The friend’s  name is James. He was
leaving James place on Wednesday morning at 2am.
The incident happened infront of Alakara Police Station in Mushin
The truck was parked outside the police station on the road. The truck
was a truck delivering cement. He ran under the truck and his car was
crushed.
The police removed Dagrin’s plate number before his folks who had
rushed him to the hospital came back to the scene.
He first rushed to T & S (Tai Solarin) Hospital at Olosha in Mushin
and the doctor advised the family to take him to LUTH for intensive
care since they don’t have the facilities required.Though they gave
him first aid there.
He has been unconscious since the incident, but 5.49pm Thursday
evening, the family got relaxed that he is getting conscious.
His father and Tunde went in to see him at 5.35pm after a long wait
outside without anyone being allowed inside the ward he is being
treated.
He had a cut in his face, jaw and a swollen head, but no fracture.

Nigerian Scientists Develop Fuelless Generator

A team of Nigerian scientists has developed a generator, which does not use fuel and made with almost 100 per cent locally sourced materials.
The device, known as “Fuel-less Electricity Generator,” was demonstrated at a one- day workshop in Osogbo on Saturday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the workshop was organised by M-K Technology Nig. Ltd, Ibadan.
One of the organisers of the workshop, Akinyefa Ajibola, a computer scientist, said he and other scientists developed the machine.
He said there had been some efforts in the past to develop the machine but the team only had a breakthrough in December 2009.
According to him, it is a feat by the scientists aimed at tackling the problem of electricity supply in the country.
Ajibola called for a positive response from the government to enhance the mass production of the machine.
Unlike the existing electricity generating sets the device has no side effects. It does not fume and is noiseless.
It can also be used 24 hours non-stop, using dry cell batteries but it needs some rest once in a while to enhance its lifespan,” he said.
On the marketing, Ajibola said the company would need some capital to enable it to begin standard packaging of the product for public use.
“We don’t sell the product now, we only train people to do it themselves but we may manufacture it for commercial purposes if the capital is there,” he said.
Two participants at the workshop, Messrs Babatope Lawal and Adeyemi Olu, lauded the initiative and advised the government to encourage the scientists.

TOLU MAINTAIN'S WIFE PASSES AWAY

Former Maintain star Tolu Ogunniyi has lost his wife.
Very reliable sources told NET the singer’s wife Funmilayo Aderonke Ogunniyi with whom he tied the knots in January 2008, passed on early this morning at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
‘She had been sick earlier but got Okay. She just complained yesterday that she wasn’t feeling her body, and they took her to UCH where they said she had Jaundice’, a source close to the family tells NET.

Sadly, the 25 year-old mother-of-one died today, leaving her husband in serious agony, and her two year-old son Bukunmi stranded.
”It’s sad, very sad”, a family friend who lives in the Ogunniyi’s Felele-Ibadan neighbourhood told NET over the phone.

The deceased studied Mass Communication at Olabisi Onabanjo University, but ran a Salon in Ibadan, and traded in gold, before passing on.

Funmi’s widower Tolu is a recording artiste who enjoyed prominence in the nineties as a member of popular pop group Maintain. He recently kicked off his solo career with the release of two fresh singles. Sources say Tolu himself is a sickler.

"I wonder who’ll take care of her baby now”, a family friend told NET. ”This is sad, very very sad”.

Dbanj and Genevive are in love

You were spotted secretly and publicly at different places with Genevieve Nnaji and we heard you both are in some kind of relationship. Is this true?
D’Banj “Yes, yes, yes. We have been trying to keep this quiet but yes, I am dating Genevieve Nnaji.

Okay. We heard you recently featured her in your music video, ‘Fall in Love.’ Is this a publicity stunt or is it a real relationship?
D'Banj "This is all so funny because beyond the personal feelings I have for Genevieve, on the business side, she is the only one who represented what we were looking for to shoot the video. She represents Africa. She represents the African Queen. She is the biggest and was even profiled on the Oprah Winfrey Show. So it was a mixed feeling for me. She was the perfect person to use for the song ‘Fall in Love’. She even was my perception of someone you would want to fall in love with and have in your life. I believe the average African man wherever you are, if you want to think of whom you would want to fall in love with, if you close your eyes and take a deep breath, it’s Genevieve that will come to mind. So business-wise, she represented everything we were looking for to make the video."

You must have been looking at her whilst you were singing. Were you really telling her your feelings?
D'Banj "I am in love with Genevieve. It’s been long I felt this way about anyone. I don’t know what other words to use to qualify my feelings. But when you see the video, you will know that it’s not just a video, it was me talking to my girl for real.

So is this a marriage-headed relationship?
D'Banj "Like I just told you, Genevieve is my girlfriend. In fact, I don’t like using that word girlfriend. She’s my baby, she’s my every thing and I love her. We are both very mature and also very private. We would like to take it one step at a time right now and would appreciate if people will respect our need for privacy at this time.

When the news of this relationship hits the streets, we are sure you both know what will happen next. Are you ready for this?
D'Banj "Well, what can I say? Like I said, Genevieve is the biggest African star that I know and I am in the public eye, so it is to be expected. But I personally do not care about any news that wants to come out. I am proud of whom I am with. When I met Genevieve I knew what I wanted and I went after it and I am still with what I want and she’s the one I want. Right now the only woman in my life is Genevieve and she knows that. We want to be together and we don’t want to hide it any longer. I want to be able to take her out, walk into anywhere with her and not have to hide. I’ve found my kokolet, my woman. Please pray for us."

Violence erupts again in jos about 500 killed.

See the picture of these Innocent Kids killed with matchets. Where is this country going to? Dear God, we need your intervention in our country NIGERIA.

About 500 Berom natives in Dogon-Hauwa village, five kilometres south of Jos, were massacred on Sunday morning by Fulani herdsmen who raided the community through a border village in Bauchi State. Neighbours joined Dogon-Hauwa villagers to wail as the bodies of elderly women and children littered everywhere among the dead.

Witnesses said the violence began in the mostly Christian village at about 3 a.m. Sunday — an hour when the area should have been under curfew and guarded by the military. Jos has remained under a curfew since violence in January left more than 300 people dead — the majority of them Muslims.

Police and military officials declined to comment on the attack or the motivation for the violence.

"It appears to be reprisal attacks," Red Cross spokesman Robin Waubo said. He also said the agency did not know how many people may have died in the fighting, though officials have been sent to local morgues and hospitals.
